Diverting young people from knife crime through professional music production and photography — giving at-risk youth a creative path out of the streets and into sustainable skills.
Who We Are
Street Klean Project is a national intervention programme dedicated to diverting young people from street violence and knife crime. By providing professional workshops in music production and photography, we offer at-risk youth a creative path out of the streets and into sustainable skills.
We were founded when two brothers, united by grief after losing a cousin to knife crime, made a decision that would change lives. In the face of tragedy, they chose action — refusing to accept the silence and inaction that surrounds this epidemic. Their message was simple: enough is enough. Today, Street Klean Project is the direct result of that conviction. We fight every day to protect young people from the same fate, channelling pain into purpose and using creativity as our most powerful tool. If we don't step up for these young people, no one will — so we have taken it upon ourselves to do everything in our power to keep them safe, focused, and off the streets.
Moving young people from high-risk environments into professional studio spaces where creativity replaces conflict.
Participants leave with tangible skills in music production or photography — not just a hobby, but a profession.
Our mentors come from the same streets. We have the credibility to reach those who others can't.

Creative Pillars
The Street Klean Impact
We don't just provide a hobby — we provide a Klean break from street life. Every participant leaves our hubs with a tangible skill set, reduced risk of knife crime involvement, and a professional network of mentors and peers.
"I came in thinking this wasn't for me. Six months later I've got my own photography portfolio and I'm shooting for local businesses. The streets don't pull me the same way anymore."— Jayden, 17, Photography Programme Graduate, Birmingham Hub
Community & Networking
Skills alone don’t build a future — networks do. That’s why Street Klean Project partners with 21 Degrees to host regular events for youth and university students, creating spaces where connections are made, ambitions are shared, and new doors open.
These events bring together young people from our programmes alongside students from higher education — bridging worlds that rarely meet, and proving that background is no barrier to belonging in professional and creative spaces.
Structured networking in relaxed, creative environments — not formal, not intimidating, just people building genuine relationships.
We believe young people from all backgrounds deserve access to the same rooms. Our events create that level playing field.
Our events extend the Street Klean family — so that the support, inspiration, and community doesn’t end when a workshop does.
Student Stories
Every young person who walks through our doors brings a different story. What they share when they leave is a skill, a sense of purpose, and a future that looks nothing like the street they came from.
Featured Student — Nottingham Hub
Music Production Programme Graduate
Tom joined Street Klean Project at our Nottingham Hub just over a year ago. Like many of the young people we work with, he was navigating a world where the streets felt like the only option available to him.
We enrolled Tom on our Music Production Programme — attending twice a week, he developed the technical skills to produce, arrange, and record his own music from the ground up. What started as curiosity quickly became conviction.
Today Tom is flying — building his own music brand from the ground up. His journey is exactly why we exist. Street Klean gives people the tools to write a completely different story.
Student Story
Music Production & Mixing Engineering — London Hub
Aaron came to us at one of the most critical crossroads of his life. Having just completed a custodial sentence, he found himself walking back into the same environment that had led him there in the first place — the same streets, the same pressures, the same faces. He knew he didn't want to go back. That honesty took courage, and it was the first step.
Our team worked closely with Aaron, enrolling him onto our Music Production programme while simultaneously supporting him through the process of applying to the council for temporary housing in a new area — removing him from the environment that posed the greatest risk to his progress. It wasn't just about music. It was about rebuilding a life from the ground up.
"The difference between where I was and where I am now — that's Street Klean. They didn't just give me a skill, they gave me a reason to stay on the right path."
Before Street Klean I had no direction. Now I am producing tracks that people are actually listening to. The mentors treated me like a professional from day one — that changed everything.
I came in thinking photography wasn’t for me. Six months later I have my own portfolio and I am shooting for local businesses. The streets don’t pull me the same way anymore.
Street Klean gave me somewhere to be and something to care about. I have learned more here in eight months than I did in years of school. I can see a real career in this now.
